The food here is consistently fantastic, and every visit has been a great experience. The bakery is especially impressive, with a wonderful selection of fresh, delicious baked goods that are hard to resist. If you're lucky enough to get a table overlooking the river, it makes the experience even more enjoyable. The beautiful view creates a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for a meal with family or friends. Between the excellent food, amazing bakery, and scenic setting, this is a place I highly recommend.

I found this place because a coworker brought delicious donuts into work one day, I wanted to find the bakery they came from. I found the website and saw that theyβre also a restaurant and have a pig roast the first Friday of the month so I knew I had to check it out. The pig roast meal was a great deal and the food was amazing! Super delicious home made food and baked goods. This place is such a gem and I canβt wait to come back to try other food here. Itβs no mystery why this place has been in business for so long! Obsessed with the broccoli slaw/salad and the baked beans, and they serve you a bread basket with some delicious bakery goods from their bakery (corn fritters, brioche type bun/muffins and corn fritters) my boyfriend had the NY strip breakfast and he said the steak was fresh and delicious. We went to a family party after and were recommending the place to everyone. 10/10 recommend and our server was super sweet!!

Wow, that is all I can say. I am not a local, just a traveler and I can honestly say this will be my go-to spot whenever traveling through Aurora, IL. Came for the restaurant, but had to give the bakery a shot too. Their donuts are among the best I've ever had. Incredibly light and airy with a soft texture that melts in your mouth. As for the restaurant side, the soup and salad bar was fantastic. The soups were rustic and clearly made from scratch. The salad selection gave more variety than I anticipated as well. The menu was vast. Chicken pot-pie was on special the day I came, so I had that. It was wonderful. My partner had pancakes with strawberry added and it exceeded all expectations. Our meal was thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was friendly and attentive as well. I also enjoyed the generous spacing in between tables, which made for a much more relaxed dining experience as well.

Food was good.. Fries were nice and hot. nice to have the bakery. Bought cookies to take home. CFS sandwich was good but disappointed that it wasnβt homemade. Bought smiley heart cookies to bring home thought they were a sugar cookie. Disappointed they had nutmeg in them. They were ok but not what I was expecting. Maybe have signage on the items. Never assume the customer knows..

This was my first time eating here. The fox river bike trail is right behind this place and I came to go bikeing, however when I got out of the car to unload the bike I was drawn in by the smell of food. It is a combination bakery/restaurant offering tons of savory and sweet treats in yhe bakery section, and an expansive breakfast/lunch menu. Prices are just below awerage for typical breakfast places, and the portions are generous. Pancakes are literally the size of a small dinner plate, and the french toast I ordered was so thick, I could only finish 2 1/4 of the 3. The atmosphere is cozy, not overly loud with what seems to be a lot of regulars that come in. The location is right on the fox river with quick access to the trails. The restrooms were spacious and spotless. I would recommend, and will go back on my next trip down the trails.
